Here are some of the agencies and organisations I have been commissioned to work for.
For the past 4 years, through a Government funded project focused on raising standards in Phonics, I have led professional development for teachers, teaching assistants and whole schools, delivering high quality Phonics CPD and bespoke support for schools. Year on year Derby has seen substantial gains in attainment in Phonics and the success of the project has been commended by the DfE.
Derby PSG is a representative group of headteachers and others who are commissioned by the DfE's Opportunity Area Board to co-ordinate improvement work across the city. Their priorities relate to the improvement of social mobility through educational achievement.
Project READ is an innovative programme to improve pupils’ reading outcomes from EYFS to Year 6 for Derbyshire Schools. I am currently leading a number of CPD session for English Subject leaders in effective leadership of Phonics and Early Reading.
DTSA works with over 120 schools in Derby, Derbyshire and other areas. My role is to provide CPD sessions and packages on Generic Teaching and Learning Pedagogy and all aspects of Primary English. 3 times during the academic year I lead network meetings for Primary English leads working in in Derby and Derbyshire schools.
The East Midlands Education Support Service (EM-EdSupport) is provided by Nottinghamshire County Council Support to Schools Services.
They offer school improvement consultancy, training and support to schools, academies and Multi Academy Trusts in Nottinghamshire and throughout the East Midlands. In my role, I deliver CPD to teachers (including NQTs) and individual school support.
The Derby Early Years Teaching School (DEYTS) Alliance is a partnership of schools from across Derby City and beyond, working together with a shared vision to make a significant impact upon Early Years and Primary teaching and learning. As a consultant for DEYTS, I deliver CPD for Early Years Teachers and Teach Direct students.
